Ready for adventure

Are you up for an adventure? Never get bored. There’s a new year ahead. We are not supposed to have a dull life. What seeds of excitement and joy are being sown for the next steps? Ahead of me I see my heroes – Elijah, David, John Wesley. Nothing boring going down there. I am not meant to be a pew-warmer, a side-kick or an also-ran. With God we are in the story. There is so much joy in the tale we are telling.

This year, I am determined to jump into it. Whatever the story that your life is writing has the potential to be the biggest excitement around. We don’t need to be skydiving, horse riding or jet skiing. I am happy to be God’s servant and serve in the background; to help without honour, to be a puzzle piece in the bigger picture. I don’t need anyone to notice me, or even to know who I am. He knows who I am. He knows the plans he has for me. They’re good plans and they are plans that are going to be fun.
