Have you anything to show for all that you have done this year? Still here. Still moving, still speaking, still going? If there was nothing else to say, still standing is success. Step, step, step, walking towards the light, never just treading water. The race continues and we take our part. If our race is a relay, we prepare to pass the baton. We run our leg with all our strength, reaching out to the people to come. Each one of us takes our line, measures out the distance and gets going. Don’t give up. You can’t see the end? You know it’s there. Don’t let whatever is going on around you, whatever anyone else is doing stop you from running with your mind set on the prize, your whole heart, soul, mind and might.
And there will be a time to win, receiving the laurels. The only thing we need to do is keep going. Do not give up. All of this is worth it. The battle belongs to the Lord. Nothing is wasted. Not one leap, bound, pace, or the smallest, faltering footfall is thrown away.
There’s a new year coming. Time to strengthen yourself again. This year’s resolution? … to keep going.
